paige (Hamilton)

Hi! I’m Paige, 22, and I’m the founder of the Lanarkshire Women-Only Dark Romance Book Club. We meet every second Saturday of the month in a local pub, where we have our own private lounge with bar and toilets for convenience. Our club is for all women—any age, ethnicity, transgender women, and anyone who identifies as a woman is warmly welcome! We’re all about sharing our love for dark romance in a safe, fun, and friendly space. If you love dark, thrilling, steamy stories and fancy joining us, we’d love to have you!

John T (Hamilton)

I am looking at joining in with a book club near me. Currently re-reading for the unknown number of times "Dracula". I am interested in all books and most fiction and non-fiction genres. I love the sense of escapism that reading can give you and where it can lead.

Dracula by Bram Stoker

In my opinion, the greatest book ever written, a classic horror, that looks at identity among other subjects.

Heart-breaking and heart warming at the same time. A true book about male friendship and loss.
Trainspotting by Irvine Welsh

It captures a time and a social moment in Scotland, it has lasted and is still relevant. The "Trainspotting Generation" is used as a focal point in addiction nursing and treatment, rightly or wrongly, this book has been used to describe a generation of mainly working class youths who are now adults and more importantly, survivors.
Planet of The Apes

An interesting read, and a reminder that prejudice and fear are never far from the individuals surface.
