Chatterbooks
The Chatterbooks group from Kingussie Primary School meets at the Badenoch Library on Spey Street in Kingussie and is open to new members. Lesley Mickel facilitates the library service, which consists of 14 students from P4 to P7. They stay for a short time, but have a lot of fun with juice, biscuits and different themes for each session. The children borrow books that correspond with the meeting’s theme and recommend books to each other in a feedback session. They also compose a newsletter, combining their top ten reads and twenty favorite biscuits, to promote their activities and encourage more members to join. This is also an opportunity for the existing members to develop critical thinking and writing skills.
