I am particularly drawn to Non Fiction probably as my imagination is poor -whereas I feel I can completely submerge into the real life of this book. I found out after from The Smoking Gun this was part Fictional 😐

James (Kington)

Hi I'm James! 23 and getting back into reading from when I was younger. My favourite books include The Bell Jar, Jane Eyre, 1984, The Handmaid's Tale, Lapvona and Let The Right One In. I'd really like a friend or group to analyse books with! Nothing thrills me like a good post text deep-dive :)

Never judge a book by its cover! (Kington)

Love reading. Would love to share and chat about the books I’ve read. I especially enjoy books about Medieval and Tudor history, Agatha Christie and P.G. Woodhouse. Mind you, I’ve read so many different books it’s hard to pin down a specific genre that best suits me. Mind you, if it’s good, it’s good!

It gives a great insight into the lives of men who made their living on the seas. It shows that there are often two if not three sides to every story. You get a real feel for the utter hardships and poverty experienced by the lower class seamen of the time and the will to survive by some. A must read.
