Kerry

Turning a young 50 this year. Always loved reading but lost the thirst for it over the last year, be nice to meet new people while finding my love for books again. Would be lovely if I found a good book club that meets regularly in the Powys / Herefordshire area

Linda

I'm semi-retired, new to the area and living rurally. An avid reader since age 5, I love connecting with book people of all ages! My favourites are many, including post-apoc and dystopian, sci-fi, crime fiction, psychological thrillers, contemporary fiction, and a range of non-fiction too. Happy to travel for a meetup and a coffee!

James

Hi I'm James! 23 and getting back into reading from when I was younger. My favourite books include The Bell Jar, Jane Eyre, 1984, The Handmaid's Tale, Lapvona and Let The Right One In. I'd really like a friend or group to analyse books with! Nothing thrills me like a good post text deep-dive :)

Never judge a book by its cover!

Love reading. Would love to share and chat about the books I’ve read. I especially enjoy books about Medieval and Tudor history, Agatha Christie and P.G. Woodhouse. Mind you, I’ve read so many different books it’s hard to pin down a specific genre that best suits me. Mind you, if it’s good, it’s good!

It gives a great insight into the lives of men who made their living on the seas. It shows that there are often two if not three sides to every story. You get a real feel for the utter hardships and poverty experienced by the lower class seamen of the time and the will to survive by some. A must read.
