Fred Moore Chatterbooks (Hull)
Meets at Fred Moore Library on Run by Karen Daniels Library service We meet every other Tuesday from 4 - 5 at the Fred Moore Library in Hull. We are all girls aged between 9 and 12 (except me of course!). We chat about the books we have been reading for the first part of the session and then have an activity afterwards. This can be a craft, game, anything really but we try to keep it literature/literacy based. When it was the General Election, we even had a mock election for book characters to help the girls get an idea of what the process was. This is a reading group at Bransholme Library, aimed at kids between the ages of 8-12. Tracey Acum is the administrator in charge of the monthly sessions. It's important to note that the children don't need advanced reading skills to benefit from participating. The meetings feature puzzles, crafts and other activities that are both engaging and enjoyable.
