Rachel

I work in books so constantly talking about them, but often find myself wishing I had a group to chat about what I'm reading just for fun! Early 30s, would be great to connect with some bookish locals in Falkirk ☺️

A book that really surprised me in 2025! Not at all something I'd usually pick up but the audio book came highly recommended. It's so well narrated and a brilliant story. Coming as a film with lovely Ryan Gosling this year too!

I love reading and listening to audio books. I enjoy most books but I am really into phycological thrillers at the moment. I am enjoying books by Freida McFadden and Alice Feeney just now.

Emma

Hi I enjoy reading but have kind of got stuck in a rut recently and want to rediscover my love for it. Ideally I'd like to find a book club that meets during the day (school time ideally) as I have caring responsibilities that make evenings out difficult.

I know this might sound cliché, but believe me when I tell you, I could NOT put this book down! The amount of times I gasped out loud and felt a chill run down my spine, AMAZING! I would highly recommend.

I mostly read thriller/crime type books. I like a strong female lead and really enjoy Frieda McFadden novels. Also I enjoy Harlen Coben crime novels. I’m a busy parent/teacher but always make time to read! Probably one book every 1-2weeks. Would like to meet up and chat about books.

I am 29 and new to Falkirk and would love to find a local book club to meet new people and chat about books. I have only been reading for a couple of years now but I love it, mostly fictional books (romance, fantasy, some mystery)...

Bethany

Hi, I am 29, I have gotten back into reading the past couple years, after loving reading as a child/teen. I have been going through lots of audiobooks on my commute. I have been enjoying many genres, mostly fiction such as fantasy, murder mysteries, 'cosy' novels, historical fiction etc., and some non-fiction, mostly autobiographies. Would love to find a relaxed local book club to meet people in this area and a nice cuppa

Wonderful if you enjoy character focused books. Follows a mother retelling stories of a memorable summer acting in a play to her daughters.

I am in my middle age and like all types of books, in particular, those to help me become a bit wiser and more sensible. I also likes art, especially classic paintings. It would be wonderful to join a book club to exchange ideas and make friends too.

One hundred years of solitude

I am crazy for fantasy books! But open to other genres that may interest me. Open to having conversations about books, exchanging book recommendations and doing book swaps.

I love reading, am a huge book nerd. I enjoy most genres of books. Would love to meet like minded people who I can chat all things books with. It would be great to find a local book group where we could meet up on a regular basis.

I am a 75 years old grandmother, professional artist, sailor, living in Falkirk. I am an avid reader who always has two books on the go. I have a passion for the natural world and Scandinavian Art and Literature. My preference would be for a day time group where I could meet new friends of all ages.

I just really want to rant and gush over silly little fictional characters and their bad decisions. —Eve (19), Sci-fiction, Dark fantasy, grimdark, slice of life, anything really so long as the character’s/world building is interesting or dynamic’s are explored in depth.

Poppy wars- Dragon republic

Misfit crew, actually morally grey character’s, military strategy, weird spiritual abilities which make it totally awesome.

I read a lot but I’m always on the lookout for genres outside what I’d normally pick. I reckon joining a book club is going encourage me to read more widely and find more books to enjoy.
