WI Wednesday book group (Cardiff)

We gather monthly, as well as in July for a social occasion, in Radyr, Cardiff, Glamorgan, to discuss books - all ten of us retired ladies taking it seriously. We use internet resources to keep us focused, while also partaking in some refreshments and enjoying each other's company as we share our thoughts on the book! Some even murmur that the discussions are their best when the wine is flowing.

The Rhydypennau Library hosts a Chatterbooks event led by Susanna Thomas. It is designed to help build confidence, social skills and improve reading for people of all abilities. Each month participants read a book and get together to chat about it, plus engage in a craft or other fun activity. All participants have the opportunity to share their thoughts on the book, and rate the story. The Chatterbooks event runs from 4.30pm to 5.00pm on the third Thursday of most months (please call the library to confirm dates). We welcome new members.

Whitchurch Library Teenage Reading Group (Cardiff)

Gatherings occur every other Tuesday from 4:30 PM to 5:15 PM at the Whitchurch Library, located at Park Road, Whitchurch, Cardiff, Cardiff, CF14 7XA. Colin Bond is the overseer of the library service, and during our time together, we read a selection of fiction books tailored to ages 11 - 14. Refreshments are provided, and anyone is welcome to join in.

Llandaff North Library Book Club (Cardiff)

Meets at Llandaff North Library on Run by Sharon Brokenshaw Library service Llandaff North Library Book Club meets in the Library on the last Wednesday of the month at 2pm. The club has both men and women members and a mixed age group. We read a mixture of classic and modern fiction and non-fiction chosen from Cardiff Libraries Book Club Collection. The Club meets socially both in the Library for coffee mornings etc and for the occassional trip out to the theatre or cinema.
