I'm a primary school teacher who loves to read. I tend to read crime books and thrillers. I'd like to join a book club to discuss great reads. I'm pretty new to the area so I'm looking to meet new people to socialise with as well.

Sophie (Barnsley)

Hi! I’m Sophie. I moved back from abroad to Barnsley and I’m looking to join or help start a book club (in person and online) to share all the fun books that I don’t have many people to talk about to in person anymore. I’m currently finishing Ruthless vows, but love fantasy, romance, thriller, action, and various other genres. I even bought a non-fiction one recently which is a bit out of character for me.

KevinMatthew (Barnsley)

41 and just moved to near Barnsley. Used to be an English teacher, now working in an unrelated field, and would like to get to know new people in the area by sharing love of reading. I feel I should be really arcane with what I’m reading, but I generally like a good middle of the road thriller. Recently I’ve been working through all the Lee Child and Jo Nesbo books and now on to Tom Clancy, currently reading Rainbow 6. I like a bit of dystopian too and would say 1984 is my favourite/ best book of all time.

Mo (Rotherham)

I’m an unpublished writer and reader of/literary/speculative and MG/YA novels. Just wondering about the availability of local, like-minded company-writing is a solitary business. A coffee and chat in say, Grimm&Co?

I have always loved reading, it's my first thought for a relaxing activity. I love crime and thrillers but also really enjoy fantasy. I read alot but I'm finding myself rereading the same books. Would be great to get some recommendations and find out what books other people have enjoyed.
