I'm looking to discuss books. I enjoy writing and reading, and looking for like-minded people to chat about books. I love thrillers, but I also enjoy books that lean more towards literary fiction.

Just a slightly socially awkward girl in her 20s trying to make friends!🫣 I typically read crime, horror, romance and thriller but have more recently fallen in love with fantasy (thank you Fourth Wing!😍). I would love to chat about our latest reads over coffee & even go book shopping together☺️

Hi, looking to join a book club, I started reading again properly in lockdown and now haven’t stopped! My main genre is fantasy romance and that will always be my fave however have read the odd romance standalone. Looking to join people who are also reading the same :)

I'm James, I'm 29. I have only really started reading in the last 3 months, but I have been doing a lot of it. So far I have read a few Stephen Kings, about 10 Chuck Palahniuks, both of Robert Webbs books and a few other non fiction books. I am interested in exploring some other genres. My favourite books so far are IT and The Stand by Stephen King and Haunted by Chuck Palahniuk. I would like to meet other people who enjoy reading and talking about books

Would love to join or start a book club in Bedford to geek out over fantasy, sci-fi or historical fiction. Don’t really know how book clubs work, but I’m assuming it’s somewhere we get to hold intelligent conversation about why main character is being such a fucking nincompoop. Which I am well up for! Preferably over cake. 26

I am a 24 year old who loves reading and talking about books. I really want to find like minded people that I can discuss books with. I am primarily a fantasy and romance reader but i do dabble with contemporary stuff as well, I am willing to try other genres as well and widen my horizons.

Formed a book group in Bedford more than 30 years ago and it is now probably on the point of expiring : I am kind of ancient, but still read widely and prefer something that needs an effort , eg classics, literary novels, biography ,for discussion (read a lot of crime, etc, also but don't specially want to discuss this!). Looking at your listings, I wondered about Ndidi's group, but don't know where / when it meets?

I'd like to join a book club to expand my reading to books and genre's I wouldn't necessary be drawn to. Getting to know new people would also be great. Anywhere near or in Bedford would be good.

Ndidi

I've started a book club called the Reading Nooks and Great Books Literary Club (think the Guernsey literary and potato peel pie society) where we tackle some of the world's greatest novels over lively discussion. The group is open to both new and seasoned readers of world classics. The main aim is to share our love for literature and the ways it has expanded our worldview. In doing so, we hope to echo Francis Bacon's idea of the good life: "old wood best to burn, old wine to drink, old friends to trust, and old authors to read." 📚🌼🌻📜 You can find the group on Meetup!

I read this over the summer last year and it was such an exciting read! It's got a little bit of everything for everyone: adventure, drama, romance, suspense and of course there are themes of love, forgiveness and kindness there. Such an engaging read, would highly recommend if you'd like to feel like a 12 year old again (in a good way)

Hello! 👋 I’m Josie, in my 20s, based near Shefford and love reading romance, crime/thrillers, and self-improvement books, though I’m open to all genres! I’d love to join a book club to meet new people and share great reads. Let me know if there’s a group I can join, or feel free to drop me a message if you’d like to chat about books in person over a cup of tea! 😊
