Gourock Bookchat

Meets at Gourock Library on Run by Valerie Phillips Library service We meet on the last Wednesday of every month in Gourock Library, Kempock Place, Gourock 1.30. - 3.30.pm. The group has been running for more than 10 years and has an average of 12 readers attending monthly. Due to library budget constrictions, we do not all read the same book but swop books at the meetings so that everyone can get a chance of the book if they wish. We have covered all genres including Comic Fantasy as suggested by a male member of our group. We have lots of indepth discussion as our members are avid readers. Three members of our group are visually impaired so this adds a different dimension to the discussion. After an hour of discussion, we have a cup of tea/coffee withbiscuits and lots of social chat. The meeting is concluded with the books for the next month given out, advising the group of any library events and also discussion about reading material for the following month.
