Set during French Colonialism in 1950s Vietnam. The story follows an English journalist and a CIA agent during the backdrop of political unrest. Greene is a master of wrought conflicted emotions. Murder, espionage and a critical eye on American foreign policy. A novel to remind us of the grave consequences of self serving interference in foreign politics.

Hey! 2024 I’ve been wanting to get back into reading again, and although I used to be bookworm when I was younger, I’m 29 and probably hadn’t picked up a book in 10 years. I’m currently on book 14 of this year and am reading Good Girl, Bad Blood. Fantasy fiction has always been my favourite genre but I’m dotting in a few murder mysteries which is also enjoying. After this series I’m looking to go into the infamous acotar. I just wanted to meet a few like minded people that also love reading or trying to get back into it as I am.

Set during the English civil war, about a servant girl who has an inherited ability to carry the live, conscious souls of other humans (and large, angry animals) inside her mind. One of the most original super powers I’ve ever read, and a genuinely intriguing story. I was sucked in from the first page.
