Sarah B (Worcester)

Graduate woman in my 60s, working as a CBT Therapist for NHS/Mental Health Tribunals. On the run up to retirement I want to join more non work activities that keep my brain in gear and meet up with like minded people. I love reading fiction novels mainly but open to any suggestions for a good read, one of my reasons for wanting to find a book club is t get some good recommendations.

READING Retired professional/postgraduate student:-- social justice-discourse analysis-critical thinking; plain existential thinking would seem a little less showy perhaps. O purblind race of miserable men - How many among us at this very hour - Do forge a life-long trouble for ourselves - By taking true for false, or false for true;

I moved here from Kent a year or two ago and miss the book group I used to go to. Would love to meet with others near me once a month to chat about books. I’m very flexible about subject etc, and am looking forward to meeting some other people who want to get out of a winter’s evening and do something with their brain!

Hi, I run an informal book club in Hereford. We meet every 4-6 weeks and usually have brunch or coffee on a Saturday morning to discuss the current book. We are a group of ladies in our 30s to early 40s and read a wide range of books. Get in contact if you fancy joining us.

Lizzie (Hereford)

I'm looking for local, likeminded readers! I like most fiction genres and my most recent reads have been Virgin Suicides (JeffreyEugenides), Hidden Pictures (Jason Rekulak), and Mad Honey (Jodi Picoult). I have just opened the door to my 30s and have just finished a (very long) five years of university, so have opened up more time for books and book friends!

Maisie (Hereford)

I'm a writer and researcher in my early 30s, I recently moved to Hereford and I like a good book! I'm happy to read most genres and enjoy books that I can get my teeth into. Some recent favourites include Milkman by Anna Burns, The Novellist by Jordan Castro and Lapvona by Ottessa Moshfegh. I'm up for a challenge (I recently, unsuccessfully, attempted Zola's Rougon Macquart series) but also happy to just chat about books.

I love reading, I currently work on 2 books a month. I have an affinity for fantasy books but have favourites from most genres. I don't have many friends who like to read as much as I do so am looking to find people I can discuss stories with.
