I read shantaram twice... I am indian, and lived in Mumbai for my undergraduate days. I find the book very wierd, insightful and do not like the crime, (but it is a crime story) and the language is so rough. I love books by Z smith, because they are so funny.

I always loved reading but it took a back seat for a long time for some reason. I've quit drinking alcohol and have picked up books again! Yay! Mainly reading a bunch of sober lit at the moment and in the past was obsessed with thrillers and horror but excited to broaden my horizons and I would love to make some new friends 💜

I'm an avid reader with a passion for sci-fi and horror, but I also enjoy diving into the classics, historical novels, and fantasy. I'm also fascinated by modern retellings of Greek and ancient myths, always looking for fresh takes on timeless stories.

Piranesi by Susanna Clarke
Piranesi
by Susanna Clarke | Buy this book
Piranesi by Susanna Clarke is a hauntingly atmospheric novel set in a mysterious, labyrinthine world. The story follows the protagonist, Piranesi, who lives in an endless house filled with towering statues, vast oceans, and intricate, uncharted spaces. As he uncovers unsettling truths about his existence and the world around him, the narrative delves into themes of memory, reality, and identity. Clarke's lyrical prose and intricate world-building create a captivating and enigmatic journey that leaves readers questioning the nature of their own perceptions.

Dog owner, National Trust member, and LEGO builder. Forever looking for the feeling I got when reading The Secret Garden. In 2024 I read 115 books, looking to read a little less this year and talk about books a little more. Over 40, South of the River.

Hi, I've recently got back into reading again and fallen back in love with getting lost in a book. I enjoy all genres, but my favourite go to would have to been fantasy or romance. Looking to join a book club either monthly or twice a month

Looking to join a group to discuss books - I tend to like memoir, history, comedy/satire, some popular science/medicine, and the occasional attempt to read Big American Novels!

I recently became obsessed again with reading . I love it so much and I would like to discuss the meaningful and interesting things I’ve learnt from my books . I read books about psychology, self development and sometimes fiction books . I love books that you can learn something meaningful from and those that make your mind wonder into deep thought and fantasy
