The Book Club (Washington)

A group for people who enjoy reading and want to gather to discuss theories and thoughts of the latest book read. Minimum 1 meeting per month. The first meeting will be to discuss what books we would like to read, how often we would like to meet up and it will be in a local cafe to the town centre. All ages and genres welcome :)

Vicki (North Shields)

I'm an avid book reader - and like pretty much everything (once an English Lit girly, always an English Lit girly) huge Joan Didion fan and love a great memoir by someone odd, and fiction of almost all genres. I do have a hard time with badly written smut, but devour it all the same. Looking to meet new people, have a chatter box and giggle about books with new pals.

Gwen (Blaydon-on-Tyne)

I’ve loved reading since childhood & now have more time to indulge. I’ve read different fiction genres from thrillers, mystery, occasional easy going chick lit, but have been enjoying historical fiction for a while. I am fairly new to the area & looking to find a local book group to chat about books we read & broaden my horizons, socially & in literature.

This is about the young women who served as nurses in Vietnam. Thrilling, engaging, moving & eye opening to a world most of us will never experience. Highly recommended

Ive been absolutely sucked into the romantasy genre and can’t get enough, it’s completely brought me back to my kindle but I’m desperate to talk to someone about the books I read! Open to chats, sharing goodreads profiles and next read suggestions

Treen (Sunderland)

I would like to meet new people and share my enjoyment of reading. I usually read crime or thrillers but I’m also interested in fantasy and expanding my reading horizons. I work as a teacher during the week so weekend or evening book clubs would be best.

A lover of romance and fantasy who would love some friends to chat about this with, as my boyfriend is sick of hearing about it! Would love to be able to connect with people with the same interests and head out for coffee and a good bookish gossip!
