BookReader1315 (Whitley Bay)

Would anybody be interested in joining a brand new book group in the North Tyneside area? Nothing heavy or intellectual - just meeting up to chat about books! Shorter books (because not everyone has time to read a book the size of a door-stop!), old and new titles of all genres, books easily available to buy in shops or borrow from the library, evening meet-ups and always free?

Megangus17 (Houghton le Spring)

I’ve read a variety of books but I’m particularly into fantasy and dark romance at the minute, currently on the acotar series, I want to join this group as non of my friends like to read, I’d like to think I’m passionate about books and I love to talk about them, I would be lovely to make new friends and to be able to sit and talk about books with people who love to read as much as me. I’m 24, and would like consider myself as easy going

Catherine (Newcastle upon Tyne)

I’m a total bookworm and book collector (I’m Learning these are two completely different things). I’ve been an avid reader since I was a child and I enjoy a wide range of genre, though crime fiction is my go-to. I’m a bit of an introvert but I’m trying to push myself to meet new people, so I’d love to join a book group or two and meet some like minded people.

I loved his previous book but this was so different. Five stories alternate throughout the book, all connected by the same ancient text. It blends science fiction with contemporary America and historical Constantinople. His characterisation and descriptions are so nuanced. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
