We're building something Gloucester doesn't really have yet. A book club that's about more than just finishing a book. A place to meet people (16+) , discover new genres, share ideas, and youth who wants to build genuine friendships. Over time, the plan is to create different book clubs and events for every kind of reader—from fantasy and romance to thrillers, classics, manga, non-fiction and more. We are a startup so right now we're looking for the first people who want to help shape the community from the ground up. If you've ever wished it was easier to meet like-minded people in Gloucester, spend less time scrolling, and more time doing something meaningful, we'd love to hear from you. Contact me for details.

It starts off with a story about Charlie Gordon who was born with a low IQ and is chosen to be a test subject for an experiment to raise IQ with it first being tested on a lab mouse, Algernon. Through the book we get to see him grow and change as he learns the world is crueler than he thought. He has a drive to learn and be better and it leads him to be smarter than even the scientists that put him though the experiment but at some point Algernon starts to deteriorate and the question is weather his will also happen to Charlie.

Hello! my name is maisie, i am 22 years old and i have lived in Gloucester all my life, in the last couple of years i have gotten into reading and i am looking for a group to help me read different genres and to make new friends. i mainly read fantasy books, my favourite has to be fourth wing however i am currently reading throne of glass so my opinion my change, i enjoy some dark spicy books as well, i have read only one romance and i did really enjoy it, i would love to start reading some crime as well, i read a tiny bit of mythology, history and psychology.

I have been looking for a book group since I moved to the area, and mostly read romantasy, with the occasional crime thriller, and love a bit of spice. I studied English at uni so I am absolutely up for reading the classics as well! I moved to Gloucester a couple of years ago but have no book friends! It would be so fun to meet some other women who love to read smutty romance, fantasy, cosy crime, and the occasional serious fiction. I only recently discovered the world of romance that is KU and would love to make some friends who also indulge! Other than reading/ listening, I love going for walks with my family + our golden retriever, scoring things for my daughter on Vinted, and watching old 90’s movies for the millionth time.
