Hello! my name is maisie, i am 22 years old and i have lived in Gloucester all my life, in the last couple of years i have gotten into reading and i am looking for a group to help me read different genres and to make new friends. i mainly read fantasy books, my favourite has to be fourth wing however i am currently reading throne of glass so my opinion my change, i enjoy some dark spicy books as well, i have read only one romance and i did really enjoy it, i would love to start reading some crime as well, i read a tiny bit of mythology, history and psychology.

I have been looking for a book group since I moved to the area, and mostly read romantasy, with the occasional crime thriller, and love a bit of spice. I studied English at uni so I am absolutely up for reading the classics as well! I only recently discovered the world of romance that is KU and would love to make some friends who also indulge! Other than reading/ listening, I love going for walks with my family + our golden retriever, scoring things for my daughter on Vinted, and watching old 90’s movies for the millionth time.

I tend to have at least 2 books on the go - one on Audible and one in a hard copy. I drive a lot so listen to books to while away the time. I teach English and would love to discuss books for the students as well as any books for me too! I enjoy crime thrillers, fantasy, murder mystery, historical fiction.......most genres to be fair!

We are a friendly and welcoming group based in Stroud. We meet once a month at the Amberley Inn, and it is free to attend. We read -and discuss- books in French, discovering together francophone authors and novels from around the world (mostly modern literature though we will read classics too and maybe even non-fiction!).
