Lenton Shared Reading Group
Our discussion group, which has been running for more than two years, takes place every Wednesday at 2:30pm at Thomas Helwys Baptist Church in Church Street, Lenton, Nottingham. Participants can simply sit back and listen while they enjoy a cup of tea and a biscuit as we read poems, short stories and novels. After each reading, we engage in a discussion of what we have heard, and everyone is invited to join in or remain silent, whatever they are most comfortable with. All are welcome to come and enjoy the pleasure of literature and the benefits of bibliotherapy (Mood-boosting Books)!

The group meets every 2nd Wednesday at the Sutton in Ashfield Library; Sandra Johnson - from Libraries service Nottinghamshire County Council, through Inspire - is in charge. It's a great opportunity for members to chat about what books they have read and select their choice for the next month, with usually four crime authors to pick from. The reading group for the visually impaired is hosted by Inspire Libraries, part of Nottinghamshire County Council. They provide a selection of formats, including large print, audiobooks, and paperbacks, with a changing collection of books each month.
