35 year old who grew up reading books non-stop! I would love to meet like minded and similar aged people who love reading and can motivate me to get back into it. My favourite genre is crime or general fiction but open to other genres. Wanting to give myself a yearly challenge of getting through a certain amount of books and would be great to do this with others!

Michael (Mansfield)

Expressive and curious; I am very positive and social, with a passion for writing. I like the deeper questions, but I am very happy to be humbled. Looking for fellow readers :)

The isolation it creates in your mind. You truly are alone in this world, and the impending doom which comes with it; your species on the brink of death, with the new evolution remembering you only as a legend.
The Road by Cormac McCarthy

The depression, which this book creates so well. That even should one survive the cold, there is no food - and should one find nourishment, there are dangerous cannibals; that any hope which exists is temporary, and it shall die off too.

Lizzi (Nottingham)

I love escaping to other worlds in any way I can, whether that’s through reading, writing, gaming, film, and so on. I’d love to find a space where I can make some new friends, discuss fun books, and maybe stumble upon some good reads I wouldn’t have discovered on my own. I’m horror obsessed, and if there’s any horror specific book clubs about that would be a dream. I’m currently reading The Shining and can’t believe it’s taken me this long to pick up! What a ride. But I also love fantasy, lgbtq+ romance, thrillers, sci-fi, and anything fiction really!

What is your hobby? As they always ask, I have tried many things from hiking to diving even jiu jutsu, but only reading really stuck and hopefully Pilates too. I started with Sidney Sheldon coupled with Science books (with photos). Got obsessed with Neil Gaiman stories. Currently going through Cat related books by Japanese authors.

I want to rediscover my love for reading, I have read and studied a lot of classics and now would like to find some new titles. And if I make some new friendships along the way then that would be an added bonus.
