A relaxed, fun book club for people who enjoy good reads, great chat and a bit of banter. No pressure, no cost, just pages and pals. Open to all and everyone.

A true story of murder and memory in Northern Ireland. Superbly, sympathetically and accurately written, the account focuses on the Troubles in Northern Ireland.

The Island

by Victoria Hislop | Buy this book

Written in 2005, "The Island" is a beautiful and moving tale of four generations rent by war, illicit love, violence and leprosy, from the thirties, through WW2, to the present day. The story of Spinalonga - Greece's former leper colony is incredible, heart-warming and educational. The follow up novel "The Return" continues the story to a modern day conclusion. Both brilliant.
