Reading Between the Wines (Newtownabbey)
I’ve recently rediscovered my love of reading and seem to be making up for lost time! I’m currently drawn to thrillers and contemporary fiction, particularly anything that hooks me early and has strong characters, relationships and a good twist along the way. I’d like to join a book group to broaden what I’m reading, discover books I probably wouldn’t pick for myself and enjoy the discussion afterwards. I love hearing different takes on the same story and I’m always up for a good debate, especially when a character has made some spectacularly questionable decisions. I’m really looking forward to discovering some new favourites and having good conversations about the books along the way.

Sadie (Antrim)
Hi, I’m Sadie! I’m a huge book lover and read a bit of everything, although romance is definitely my favourite genre. I love chatting about books, discovering new authors and getting recommendations from other readers. I also run a book club called Chapters & Craic in Antrim, and we’re always looking to welcome new members. We meet regularly for relaxed book discussions, fun activities and a good chat over a coffee. Whether you’re an avid reader or just getting back into reading, we’d love to have you join us!

I like fiction that is refreshing, adventurous, historical, psychologically interesting, and challenging too. I love books that are well written, and not overly romantic.

Fantasy, Mystery, Gothic, and the classics are what I tend to read the most, but I am open to other genres if the story sounds interesting and the writing style is engaging. Ideally, meetups can happen every week or two to discuss favourite books, authors and share recommendations.
