Booker13 (Kirkcaldy)

Book clubs are my favourite activity. Been a member in various locations across UK and USA for over 25 years. Prefer non- fiction but am happy to be challenged. Looking for an in-person group anywhere in Fife. Evenings preferred.

DawnMarie42 (Dunfermline)

Looking for a book club in Fife with evening/Sunday meetings if possible. Did my degree in literature moons ago but read anything from classics to fanfiction (guilty pleasure). Currently going through a romantasy phase interspersed with brain bubblegum books and looking to interact with new humans ;)

I love the way NN ties stories up so utterly completely. This book and Spinning Silver are my two all time favourites as they hold everything, fantasy, adventure, strong FMCs, romance, epic battles, magic, mystery, folklore... just trust me, epic storytelling with amazing world building.

Travelling Shopfitting Joiner/Carpenter. Part time Taxi driver at the moment. Lived and worked in over 30 different countries, very broad minded, fit and healthy 64 year old guy. Get up and go ain't got up and gone yet and hoping to return to Pyrenees once more and... Who knows? Brexit changed everything, boo hoo

Edy (Kirkcaldy)

Hi book people of Fife, I've written two books which I hope to have printed real soon at Glenrothes KDC printers. 1st book is about travelling through New Zealand and Australian desert over the space of the year 2000. 2nd book is about travelling to Bangkok and Cambodia in 2001, shortly after Pol Pot died and unknowingly arriving in a war zone. Really would appreciate a book critic - Anyone interested ?

Jerome (St Andrews)

Lifelong reader of fiction and still eager to discover new writers. Time-limited so am trying to carve out reading time. Currently striving to read only books written this decade - some great discoveries (loved The Trees by Percival Everett) and some clangers.

The Dallergut Dream Department Store
by Lee Miye | Buy this book
This book is taking up so much space in my heart because it's gentle and whimsical, it follows a new employee at a Department Store for Dreams and her customers who visit to purchase their dreams for the night. Its perfect bed time reading and is colourful, lighthearted, and an incredible concept

Keir (Kirkcaldy)

I work from home mostly and I'm looking to be a bit more involved in the community, plus I'm getting back into reading and trying to go through a lot of the classics. I also appreciate history, philosophy, mythology and an occasional fantasy adventure.

Siddartha
by Herman Hesse | Buy this book
I love the emphasis on experiential wisdom in Siddartha, and not just going through the process of understanding propositions as a means of gaining "enlightenment". It's also a very concise book and an easy read, I'd recommend it to everyone.

Amanda (Cupar)

I’ve always love reading and lecturing new genres and authors. I usually have 2 books on the go from the library plus a few more on Libby (the ebook service for Fife Libraries). I struggle a bit with audiobooks, probably because I like to concentrate on what I’m reading and lose myself in it, rather than doing other things at the same time like walking, ironing etc. I moved to Newport on Tay in July and would like to meet others who might share my interests in order to broaden my world. I look after my Edinburgh grandchildren one day a week and travel south to see my elderly mum for a week most months. I also travel to New Zealand in the winter to visit our son and his young family, so am away a bit. I hope that doesn’t preclude me from joining in at a book club when I can.

The Genesis Code by John Case
The Genesis Code
by John Case | Buy this book
A fabulous thriller... grabs the readers attention from page one and never let's go. An intelligent upgrade from Dan Brown's 'Davinci Code.' Gripping storyline. Believable characters and a plot that makes you think "what if....?" Highly recommended.
