My current favourite genres would be: thrillers, mythology-based fiction, fantasy and historical fiction but I'm looking to expand this! This book is a historical fiction novel based in the Nalibocka forest during World War II and centres on Yona, a woman kidnapped from a German family when she was a toddler and was raised in the forest by an eccentric elderly woman. This was honestly such a nice surprise of a book- it explores themes of love, survival and betrayal.
