Pawlean (Warwick)

As an avid Magic Realism and Fantasy reader who doesn't like Romantasy nor smut (unpopular opinion, I know!), I would love to find like-minded readers to explore those genres with - and go beyond the redundant social media book trends that cast an unfortunate shadow to so many hidden gems. :)

Pawlean recommends:

My Lady Jane
by Brodi Ashton, Cynthia Hand, Jodi Meadows | Buy this book
What's not to love in a semi-historial fiction that gives a prominent female figure a second (and longer) life, and surrounds her with magic? This book is the exception to my No Romantasy preference.
Percy Jackson by Rick Riordan
Percy Jackson
by Rick Riordan | Buy this book
Rick Riordan is my hero, and Percy Jackson changed my life.

DEF (Rugby)

After many years of caring for family and business commitments I am now basically retired and rediscovered my joy of reading. I read many of the classics at school. Wouldn’t mind re-reading them but keener to be introduced to modern authors so would really like to become a member of a book club.

DEF recommends:

This is a type of book that I would not have picked up of the shelf but my brother recommended it to me, so read it I did.
