Fantasyjunkie265

Hi! I’m Kirsty and I’m looking to join a book club, ideally with a strong love for fantasy. I’m always up for discovering new worlds, swapping recommendations, and talking far too much about books once I’m hooked. I’d also love to meet new people in the area and make some genuine friendships along the way. If you enjoy fantasy reads and good conversation, I’m in. If there isn’t a book group in Didcot for this, happy to make one with others!

The Inheritance Cycle is one of those series I keep coming back to. It starts with someone ordinary being thrown into something much bigger than themselves, and you get to watch them grow through mistakes, responsibility, and impossible choices. There’s dragons, magic, battles, and real stakes, but also quieter moments about morals, honour, love, and loss. Even the enemy feels understandable, which somehow makes it hit harder. It’s comforting and exciting at the same time — like there’s a bit of everything in there.

Julia

Hello, my name is Julia and I am looking for a book club for a friend and I to join. I have lived locally for a couple of years and am an avid reader whilst my friend is newly settled in the county with a keen interest in literature - she has also had a couple of stories published in a collective of women's experiences. Please let me know if we would be welcomed in your club! Julia Brenen

Have been in book clubs in Trinidad, Turks/Caico, USA, Vienna. Substance. Classics. Like when folks have read before they show up. I could be up for the Jane Austen book club this year though cliche, and some Shakespeare, and some bucket list.

I enjoy fantasy fiction but will read just about anything. I’ve realised I’ve ended up in a book rut and have no one to talk books with so am desperate to find a book club and some like minded readers.

I got back into reading over the last few years since upgrading my e-reader. It’s now my favourite hobby, along with gaming. I read mostly fantasy and sci-fi, but I also enjoy horror, thrillers & historical romance. I’ll try anything as long as it’s fiction haha I would love to meet up either online or in person to chat about books & hopefully make some friends :)

Started to read again last year. Love romance books, especially enemies to lovers. But I do love a good thriller.

Noelia

Hi! I'm Noelia, Spanish reader living in Didcot! I got back into the habit of reading last summer due an injury and I've discovered I love a good thriller, fantasy, romance and fiction and I'm open to discover new books/genres I haven't come across. I'm also tired of reading a great book and having no one to comment it with!
