Hi! I’m a 20 year old female who absolutely loves books and has done since I was a kid. I love mostly romance/murder mystery but I’m open to any new genres. I’m looking to make friends and hoping this might interest someone to start a book club/join one with similar interests :)

James

Hi, I’m James—a teacher by day and a proud bibliophile always. I’ve always believed that books are meant to be shared, discussed, and sometimes passionately debated over a good brew (or glass of something stronger!). I’m joining a book group because reading in community brings stories to life in new ways, and I love hearing different takes on the same page. Whether it’s a beautifully written classic, a gripping courtroom drama, or something completely unexpected, I’m always up for a good plot twist and a thoughtful chat. Looking forward to turning pages and making connections!

James recommends:

Yellowface by R. F. KUANG

I recommend Yellowface because it’s a bold, thought-provoking read that challenges you to question who gets to tell certain stories—and why. It’s sharp, unsettling, and incredibly relevant, especially for anyone interested in writing, publishing, or issues of identity and representation. Kuang manages to blend dark humour with real insight, making it a book that’s as entertaining as it is important
The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle

It simplifies something deeply profound: the idea that true peace and freedom come from living fully in the present moment

I love books as much as I love people watching😅. My poison is literary fiction but I don't mind a little psychological thriller, suspense and romance here and there. Looking to meet people with an interesting worldview and great book taste.

I have always loved to read, ever since I was a child. My favourite thing is getting lost in stories 📖 I like a range of genres; romance, thriller, fantasy to name a few. I want to join a book club to meet new people who also love to read and hopefully make some new friendships 🫶
