Rock Ferry Library Book at Breakfast
The Get into Reading Book at Breakfast group meets every Thursday morning at Rock Ferry Library, hosted by Kerys and open to both men and women. After a brief period of tea and toast plus conversation, the group dives into the current book, finishing with a poem, giving attendees an opportunity to enjoy some bibliotherapy (mood-boosting books) for wellbeing and connection. Linghams Book Club, Heswall
Meets at Linghams Bookshop on Run by Eleanor Davies Library service We have been running about 4 years and meet in the coffee bar of the shop on the second Thursday of evry month except in April and August. There are usually up to 30 people (men and women- all ages) at each meeting but we split into 3 groups for discussion. Wine, coffee, tea and snacks are on sale from 7 pm and we start at 7.30 pm. During the year we aim to cover a couple of classics, a couple of biographies and lots of contemporary fiction. We try to cater for everybodies' tastes. It's the high spot of the month! Irby Library Reading Group
Meets at Irby Library Run by David Library service Irby's reading group meets every four weeks on a Thursday evening, 6:30-7:30. It is aimed at adults but otherwise open to anyone . The books read are chosen by staff but any member suggestions are borne in mind. The majority of titles are contemporary novels (i.e. written by contemporary authors - historical settings for stories are quite popular!) with a few classics interspersed and the occasional autobiography.
