martin1967 (Thetford)

I'm 58. I retired at 50 to look after my sick wife. I love reading, mostly fantasy and sci-fi, but am happy with most genres. It is good to get out and meet like-minded people. I have even written two children's fantasy books, although only one is available on Amazon at the moment. Trying to sort out the final chapter on the other one.

Terence (Norwich)

I'm a writer, and enjoy reading most types of fiction, especially European and American literature, and some non fiction. I'm based south of Norwich but could travel for the right group (or one off book!). I'm a member of the Reading America book group at the Millennium library in Norwich (5.30, 1st Wed of the month). I review books for a local zine, and on my Instagram - message me for details.

The first in a series of novels about the adventures of an archeologist Ruth and how she is drawn into police investigations by DCI Harry Nelson. They are all set in King's Lynn and Norfolk for added local interest. My favourite author, she writes mysteries around other characters too. A must if you like twisty murder/mysteries that will have guessing who did it!

A History of Loneliness by John Boyne

I'm reading this book at the moment - I will finish it tonight - and it's exceptional. A deep, disturbing look at the life of a priest in Ireland that is also tender and loving. It addresses some difficult issues and stirs a whole range of emotions. A well researched and beautifully written piece of work that I will be sad to leave behind.
