Incredible world building and very moving character arcs throughout the whole series

I loved this book (and the whole series) because of the characters and their witty banter. If you like a mentor/mentee trope this will be perfect.

This book is what originally started my love for fantasy. If i had to choose four ways to describe this book it would be assassins, competition, new friends, and mystery.

It is a mix of contemporary with a dash of mystery - my favourite are the colourful characters and soulful vibes.

Wonderfully grounded and well-researched historical fiction. I loved the moral complexity of the characters, and the relevance to contemporary themes.

I grew so attached to the characters in this book, binged the second half in one sitting. So beautifully written and I love the slow burn romance - absolutely sobbing by the end.

This was the last fiction book I read. It is a very dark, psychological and cerebral read. But also deep and open to interpretation. I was hooked once I began reading it and couldn't wait to discover what morbidly fascinating scenarios the protagonist would create as he spiralled further.

This is a wonderful, character driven story about two former Texas rangers leading a cattle drive to Montana. There is a great sense of adventure and exploration in this beautiful read.

Loved the characters and the story line which it told. Like how the book was quite moving as well
