Feminist Book Club

We’re a casual book club that meets once a month with the aim of bringing together all folx in a safe, welcoming space to share and listen to diverse perspectives, celebrating different backgrounds from all corners of the world and how our experiences shape the way we each interpret the stories we read. As a community we build bonds through books and conversation, creating space where everyone feels heard, respected, and free to bring their whole selves to the table. Each month, we explore books that challenge, inspire, and spark connection, always focusing on intersectional feminism, and the joy of reading together. Our book club offers both in-person and online sessions so that no one has to miss out. Our in-person sessions take place in wheelchair-accessible venues around the city, so they’re open and welcoming to everyone who wants to join us face to face. But we also know that getting into town isn’t always easy. That’s why we hold separate online sessions on a different day, giving anyone who can’t attend in person the chance to still be part of the conversation, share their thoughts, and enjoy the book with the group.

I read mainly literary fiction, but am open to most genres and have been wanting to join a book group for some time. Due to a career change I now have some spare time and would enjoy meeting up with others for bookish chat.

An inter- generational tale of female strength and resilience, set in Berlin during and shortly after WW2. A compelling and masterful debut.

I'm a writer, and enjoy reading most types of fiction, especially European and American literature, and some non fiction. I'm based south of Norwich but could travel for the right group (or one off book!). I'm a member of the Reading America book group at the Millennium library in Norwich (5.30, 1st Wed of the month). I review books for a local zine, and on my Instagram - message me for details.

I’m 27 and have got back into reading after getting ACOTAR at the start of the year. I’m open to all genres but romance/fantasy are definitely my favourite. I would love to connect with people with similar interests and discuss books, as my non-reading boyfriend is definitely sick of me!

This series is absolutely incredible! I have thought about it every day since finishing it. The world building, plot twists and character arcs are brilliant. P.S. I am team ‘don’t read assassins blade first!’
