I’ve been a bookworm since the age of six. Books have been my constant companion throughout my life. I don’t have any friends who read and my fiancé isn’t a big reader either so I’m looking for some fellow book lovers to gush with about my latest reads. I read mostly fiction (though I enjoy a good memoir as well). I’ll read most genres — from literary fiction to crime, thriller, fantasy and sci fi. I generally eschew romances but I’m open to being convinced! I would love to meet up to discuss books over coffee or a glass of wine!

Murakami is known for his surreal, dreamlike works and they’re all stunning. Norwegian Wood however (one of his best-known works) is different, being more reality-based. It’s about a student in Tokyo in the 1960s who meets two very different young women (one of whom is very troubled), and the relationships (romantic and platonic) he develops with them. I'm looking for a free interest and hobbies community to attend as I've been feeling extremely depressed worrying about straight men in my life, I thought this would be a fantastic opportunity for me to get out doors and find some brand new friends I can trust and respect as well as hopefully find something meaningful out of joining a book club, as I'm a hopeless romantic who love intercourse with straight men to find out their true intentions and future plans with me, I like books that are funny and mischievous but not life destroying and malevolent where it ends in suicide unless romantic, through sickness such as cancer or dementia. I haven't read many books in my life time and I would feel it would bring our my confidence reading amongst other people as I have no confidence in reading to anyone as I've always known I'm stupid and incoherent when reading as I'm unpredictable all the time. Plus it would be excellent for my mental health state rather than be isolated like some lunatic in a home on social media constantly talking to myself like a schizophrenic person out of pure loneliness.

It about a dysfunctional relationship between Gideon cross and Eva, who have a troubled past but both feel it is necessary not to burden on other with their past but instead tried to go to couples therapy to work out the problem together though some steamy sex scene.

Looking to read, discuss and expand. Like modern (late 20th century, 21st century) classics, prize winners, not too deep, not too shallow. Not really a fan of sci-fi, fantasy, or non-fiction, though can be persuaded when they are great. Favourite books: Hot Milk by Deborah Levy, Sometimes a Great Notion by Ken Kesey, and Night by Edna O'Brien (all might change tomorrow though).
