I am retired and live in the countryside between Robertsbridge and Burwash. I have always loved reading and took a degree in Comparative Literature, as a mature student. I particularly enjoy modern gothic literature and psychological thrillers. I would welcome the chance to read and discuss books with like-minded people.

Dr. Haggard’s Disease
A doomed love story, set at the beginning of WWII, which is somehow reminiscent of Graham Greene’s ‘The End of the Affair.’ However it features a thoroughly unreliable narrator and many classic tropes of gothic literature, plus a truly ghastly ending.
