Derwent VAlley Bridge Monthly Reading Group
Every month, about six to ten people come together for an hour at Derwent Valley Bridge to discuss a book they have read over the past month, and to get a new book for the following month. The books are typically fiction, though sometimes non-fiction works are chosen as well. The librarian used to be responsible for picking out and ordering the books, however after the council closed the Library it had to be re-opened as a volunteer-run community Library. Those interested in joining can find us at 3 Pickering Road, West Ayton, Scarborough, North Yorkshire, YO13 9JE. The Library is accepting new members. Tags: Reading Ahead, Visually Impaired.

I'm a middle-aged bookworm who has never been in a book club before, and I'm particularly interested in reading classic works in the evenings or at weekends, and hopefully discussing these books with other like-minded women who also live near me.
