Chris

Hi. My name is Chris Gill and I am a traditionally published author who has had two novels published by Yorkshire based publisher, Fisher King Publishing. (Fisherkingpublishing.co.uk). My second novel, 'The Butcher Boys' is a book about friendship, love, rivalry and identity set in the Yorkshire Dales. It is for sale in various Dales bookshops and has received great reviews so far. I am very interested in coming along to writing groups to talk about my 'The Butcher Boys' and my writing journey so far. So please contact me if your bookclub would be interested in me coming to give a talk. My email is chrisdavidgill67@gmail.com and my phone number is 07956 336311. I look forward to hearing from you. Thank you. Chris. šŸ˜Š (The link to my novel is 'Tinyurl.com/5n7ue8rr' if you would like to take a look). šŸ˜Š

Christine

Recently back living in Gargrave after a few years away, almost retired and missing my previous book group. Iā€™m an avid reader of quality contemporary fiction but also open to reading other genres including travel and nature writing. Writers I particularly enjoy include Donna Tartt, Rose Tremain, William Boyd, Julian Barnes as well as younger writers like Sally Rooney. Happy to share hosting and set up a new group if thereā€™s interest.

It lives out the fantasy of what if? A world where you can live out all your what if moments and understand that your life is what it is because of the choices you make and that they are made for a reason.

Kristina

Hi, I am a mother to 4 sons, two of who are fully grown and left home, and two teenagers who are growing up too fast for my liking, that being said, I have a lot more time on my hands, so Iā€™m starting to revisit all the things I love doing and havenā€™t always had the time for, and reading is one of them. I have always loved the idea of book groups, so here I am. Looking forward to joining!?!

BookloverJo

Hi, Iā€™ve always loved reading but now find it difficult to find a book that is ā€œunputdownableā€. Would welcome recommendations and an opportunity to meet new people/make new friends. No favourite genre although I donā€™t enjoy fantasy, and count Maggie Oā€™Farrell and Mary Wesley among my favourite authors.

BookloverJo recommends:

After Youā€™d Gone by Maggie Oā€™Farrell
