Chris Gill
I'm a traditionally published author (Yorkshire publisher: Fisher King Publishing) from the Yorkshire Dales. My most recent novel, 'The Butcher Boys', is a story about friendship, rivalry and identity set in a Dales village in the 70's, 80's and 90's. (Tinyurl.com/5n7ue8rr). I am looking for Yorkshire book clubs that might be interested in me coming to give a talk about my novel. Please feel free to contact me at 'Chrisdavidgill67@gmail.com'. Thank you. š

Recently back living in Gargrave after a few years away, almost retired and missing my previous book group. Iām an avid reader of quality contemporary fiction but also open to reading other genres including travel and nature writing. Writers I particularly enjoy include Donna Tartt, Rose Tremain, William Boyd, Julian Barnes as well as younger writers like Sally Rooney. Happy to share hosting and set up a new group if thereās interest.

Hi, I am a mother to 4 sons, two of who are fully grown and left home, and two teenagers who are growing up too fast for my liking, that being said, I have a lot more time on my hands, so Iām starting to revisit all the things I love doing and havenāt always had the time for, and reading is one of them. I have always loved the idea of book groups, so here I am. Looking forward to joining!?!

Hi, Iāve always loved reading but now find it difficult to find a book that is āunputdownableā. Would welcome recommendations and an opportunity to meet new people/make new friends. No favourite genre although I donāt enjoy fantasy, and count Maggie OāFarrell and Mary Wesley among my favourite authors.
