Jessica (Ely)

Hey, I'm 30 - mum of 2 kids near Cambridge. I enjoy most genres which include thriller, romance or fantasy and have a subscription to fairyloot, illumicrate and Locked Library (as well as some of their sub-genres) which I really need to work through! So if someone wants to team up with me .. that would be great:)

Emma (Ely)

Super fell in love with reading again a couple of years ago after a deep dive into TJR, Colleen Hoover and other books like that. Love a bit of romance, with the odd mystery or mystical (currently reading Court Of Claws) to switch it up

This book and the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy are what I turn to when I need a book to make me smile. It is effortlessly funny and tells a compelling mystery that only gains value on a reread.

James (Cambridge)

I enjoy Fantasy, Romance, and Horror novels (in that order) and read loads of all three. Would love to talk to people about any and all of those, especially romantasy as it's so popular right now and I've read a lot of it but have no one to talk to about it. (Based in Cambridge).

James recommends:

Paladin's Strength by T Kingfisher

This is the best Romantasy novel I've ever read. It has a cracking fantasy plot, a brilliant pairing of characters that are cool and unusual (for the genre; for instance they're in their 30s and 40s!) set in a world that I want to know more about. Just all around great.

I am loving romantacy and fantasy books at the moment. The booktok algorithm has me sussed, but it would be great to connect with people locally

Emma (Cambridge)

Trying to find my fellow Romantasy lovers to meet in person - Booktok is great but the main drawback is never actually getting to know anyone. The dream would be to find a location for a bookclub lined with bookcases that sells coffee and/or wine. Anyone in?

Emma recommends:
