Maheen (Weymouth)

Hi all, I'm moving to Weymouth next week for work - I would love to meet people (I'm 44) who enjoy reading and socialising and maybe are open to make a new friend! I happily read most things, including plays and poetry; non-fiction (natural world / food / politics), fiction and home / brain improvement.

Aimee (Dorchester)

Hiya - looking for a social way to introduce me to new genres and authors! Love meeting new people, especially ones who are passionate about their interests. Mostly read non fiction and fantasy, but also enjoy horror and classics. 23F

Piranesi by Susanna Clarke
Piranesi
by Susanna Clarke | Buy this book
I read (and loved) Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell when I was much younger so when I saw a new Susanna Clarke book I didn’t even read the blurb before jumping to read it! Luckily, I enjoyed Piranesi even more. It’s got fantastically detailed, unique world building. A haunted house story from the perspective of the ghost, but not in the way you would probably expect.
What You Are Looking For Is In The Library
by Michiko Aoyama | Buy this book
Lots of short stories, each uplifting in their own unique way. This book feels like a love letter to local community and to human kindness.

Charli (Bournemouth)

Hi, I’m 21 years old. I’ve been in and out of motivation for over 7 years of reading and just gotten into it again. I’m hoping to make some friends and I would like to get some help on what to read and what is interesting to some people and what isn’t. I also like most genres, into romance/dark atm too.

Hi, I’m 22 years old and recently moved to Bournemouth. I enjoy reading and want to make it a regular part of my routine. Joining a book club seems like a great way to meet fellow book lovers and share ideas. Plus, there’s nothing better than discussing a good book over a cozy cup of hot chocolate!

Lydia (Poole)

I'm a 29 year old doctor working in Poole - I'm very keen to be involved in a book club because I love reading (stating the obvious!) and my Mum has been in one for donkeys years, bringing her huge amounts of fun! I read a lot of thrillers, a bit of romance, a fair amount of non-fiction, but I am open to everything really - sometimes it's the books you stumble across by accident that are the best!

The Sword Of Kaigen
by M L Wang | Buy this book
I love the action, battle scenes, magic system, world building. It’s a character driven book but has plenty of very well written battle scenes. It’s a standalone, it left me wanting more but I know that it’s the oerfect length.

Julia (Bournemouth)

Hey! I'm 24yo who just relocated to Bournemouth. I don't have specific favourite book genre as I love to explore new ones! At the moment, I'm focusing on books with some life morals, maybe some philosophy to help me nourish and contribute to my life. I'd love to have a discussion on certain topics as I'm always curious about perspectives I haven't considered. Since I work remotely it would be nice to make some friends too!

Jordan (Bournemouth)

29M. A self-confessed Stephen King addict and a fan of all things thriller, horror, and crime, but I also enjoy a touch of romance and have a penchant for some satire, history and—basically, I’m open to anything! I recently relocated to Bournemouth and work remotely, so I spend a lot of time on my ownsome (mostly reading!) . I’m looking to join some local clubs and make new friends. :)
