EmReads93 (Newcastle (Staffordshire))

I'm 32 and I moved to the area a year ago. I have been unsuccessful in making friends and it would be really nice to make a friend who loves to read as much as I do. I travel a lot for work so audible has become my new best friend I will read anything and everything, butI lean more into murder mysteries and fantasy. Please let me know if you have any recommendations! My recommended books would be - Holy island by L J Ross and the name of the wind by Patrick Rothfuss

Book and a Brew (Cannock)

We’re a fun, friendly reading group aimed at sufferers of depression and anxiety, based in Cannock, Staffordshire. We’re different from a book club as we don’t all read the same thing. Each fortnight, we give our members a reading prompt (e.g A mystery novel) and it’s up to each individual to pick a book that fits the prompt. We meet fortnightly at Cannock Library for a cuppa and a chat about what we’ve read that fortnight. We’re a lovely read group of avid readers, and we all believe in the power of reading for mental health.

Aaron (Stafford)

I've been working from home for over a year and often find myself wondering out to find a quiet spot to read. I'm 30 years old and moved here from Scotland, looking to meet new people and potentially join a club or just get some new recommendations 😊 I read a lot of fantasy/ dark fantasy/ romance books. Recently read ACOTAR, Fourth wing and Feathers so Cruel.

This series left me emotionally damaged.. yet I still can't wait to do it all over again when the third book comes out. Great FMC, character development and world building, spicy at times and enough twists and turns to keep you guessing.

Hi I’m a 50 year old Teaching Assistant who loves to read. I’ve always got a book in my hand in my spare time. I love crime, psychological thrillers, romance, murder/mystery, quite a lot of different genres really. I would love to join a book club to meet new people and share my book reading experiences. At the moment I’ve been reading a lot of Colleen Hoover books which I would highly recommend.

Katy (Stoke-on-Trent)

Ive been reading since i was very young, the first 'adult' book was Catherine Cookson - The cinder path at around 11. I've read many different genres over the years and settled on fantasy - Give me a fairy, witch or werewolf and I'm happy! Would love to join a book club and people who also love books like me :) Im on a 52 book challenge for 2025 - which doesn't sound too hard... but the books im reading currently have an average 26 hours reading, so need some shorter books to top me up :)
