Aaliyah (Uttoxeter)

I’m 23 with a raging addiction to buying books 🫣. I started my reading journey 2 years ago which initially felt like a one off but quickly became my whole personality trait. Would love to meet new girlies reading the same/similar books and hopefully become besties 🫶🏽xxx

I loved this book so much. Spoke alot around serious topics but in a way that doesn’t make me spiral 🤣 I loved the way she approached these hard topics and made them seem lighthearted yet still so so important. I loved the little romance twist and friendship building between the FMC and the bride as well as the nuggets of digging into the other characters lives and understanding that although people seem like they have everything, there is always something else going on behind the scenes and not everything you see is perfect. 🫶🏽

This was a 5* for me. I had such a nice time reading this and it just brought such good vibes. I loved the bond the two main characters had and was super stressed at the twist in the middle. Iykyk. I loved they came together in the end just wish I could picture the FMC wearing something that’s not so outrageous like why could she not just be wearing normal clothes 😭😭😭

Molly498 (Tamworth)

I’m looking to join a book club to hopefully meet likeminded ladies who also fangirl over fictional characters and go wild with excitement over a good plot! I’ve recently gotten really into romantasy/fantasy, but I also love romance/dark romance books, and (slightly more niche) romance novels set during WW2.

Jesslou44 (Newcastle (Staffordshire))

I moved to Staffordshire from Jorth to study for my Nurisng Degree. I met my partner Ben and decided to settle here! I don’t have many friends and a great deal of spare time. I do find the isolation difficult at times. It would be great to meet with people. I love to read crime fiction, murder mysteries, crime and horror. But I will always try and read a range of genres.

EmReads93 (Newcastle (Staffordshire))

I'm 32 and I moved to the area a year ago. I have been unsuccessful in making friends and it would be really nice to make a friend who loves to read as much as I do. I travel a lot for work so audible has become my new best friend I will read anything and everything, butI lean more into murder mysteries and fantasy. Please let me know if you have any recommendations! My recommended books would be - Holy island by L J Ross and the name of the wind by Patrick Rothfuss

Book and a Brew (Cannock)

We’re a fun, friendly reading group aimed at sufferers of depression and anxiety, based in Cannock, Staffordshire. We’re different from a book club as we don’t all read the same thing. Each fortnight, we give our members a reading prompt (e.g A mystery novel) and it’s up to each individual to pick a book that fits the prompt. We meet fortnightly at Cannock Library for a cuppa and a chat about what we’ve read that fortnight. We’re a lovely read group of avid readers, and we all believe in the power of reading for mental health.
