I moved to Staffordshire from Jorth to study for my Nurisng Degree. I met my partner Ben and decided to settle here! I don’t have many friends and a great deal of spare time. I do find the isolation difficult at times. It would be great to meet with people. I love to read crime fiction, murder mysteries, crime and horror. But I will always try and read a range of genres.

I travel a lot for work so audible has become my new best friend I will read anything and everything, butI lean more into murder mysteries and fantasy. Book and a Brew (Cannock)

We’re a fun, friendly reading group aimed at sufferers of depression and anxiety, based in Cannock, Staffordshire. We’re different from a book club as we don’t all read the same thing. Each fortnight, we give our members a reading prompt (e.g A mystery novel) and it’s up to each individual to pick a book that fits the prompt. We meet fortnightly at Cannock Library for a cuppa and a chat about what we’ve read that fortnight. We’re a lovely read group of avid readers, and we all believe in the power of reading for mental health.

This series left me emotionally damaged.. yet I still can't wait to do it all over again when the third book comes out. Great FMC, character development and world building, spicy at times and enough twists and turns to keep you guessing.
