Emma (Stoke-on-Trent)

I am looking to find others who enjoy reading and like to just discuss their thoughts on the material. I enjoy all genres but particularly like fantasy, classics, and mystery. Would love to join any clubs in any format, and welcome any chat about books.

The focus on gender role expectations and modern gender inequality is expertly weaved into a crime fiction setting that consistently surprises and fascinates. Essentially its a fun ride with a social commentary.

Kerry Leanne (Stoke-on-Trent)

I’m 34 years old and mum of one. I love getting lost in a good book! I have a bit of an addiction with buying books though I have loads on my shelf already, I love my kindle, I love cats, my favourite place to read is by the sea or sitting in the sun! My favourite genres are - thriller, contemporary fiction, abit of romance and spice! Or anything that grabs my attention! I would love to join a book club around my local area and meet new people and make new friends. X

I loved this book, it’s definitely one of my favourites! A book about love and heart break, a woman who falls in love with an avoidant in the hope one day he might chose her. It covers a lot in mental health and the recovery of the womans emotions wellbeing! I loved it I definitely got sucked in but I think it was quite relatable.

Even though this is a children's book, it deals with some mature themes. It is spooky, adventurous, and unique. All the characters have distinct personalities and I enjoy the representation of complicated friendships.
