Bomi

Hi! I’m Bomi. I’m currently studying marketing at Bournemouth University. I'm 26. As it’s been only 6 months since I moved to the U.K from South Korea, I’d like to make new friends here through a book group. I like reading romantic and detective/crime genres but I’m open to any other genres as well. I’d like to meet up at least once a month to talk about books and hang out.

Caitlin

Hi I am Caitlin - age 21. I am looking to make some new friends (female and of similar age) and thought this might be a good place to start as I enjoy reading. The friendship doesn’t have to be primarily based on reading, we could go for coffee, cocktails, walks etc. I am hoping to build some lifelong friendships here. The books are just there as a safety net I guess, so we have something to talk about. I am a hopeless romantic, so of course I love reading romance. I also love thrillers, and classics, but am open to reading pretty much anything. And finally, a little about myself, I love being a girl aha - new nails, bubble baths, flowers, sundresses, Sundays etc. I am also a university student studying biology. Hopefully someone will see this and want to be friends, and hopefully in 20yrs time we’ll be laughing at how cringey this was lmao.

Ugly Love by Colleen Hoover

Now I know there are many mixed opinions on this author and her books. However, her books are easy-reads and recommendable to everyone, including those who are beginner readers or even those who are in a reading slump and need an easy-read to get out of it and back into books again. Ugly Love by Colleen Hoover is a raw and intense journey through love, pain, and the complexities of human emotion. The story delves deep into a tangled web of heartache and passion, capturing the rawness of love and the agony of its complications, which resonates with those who understand the darker side of love and loss. I believe Ugly Love is a compelling exploration of loves underbelly, and it’s a book that will stay with you long after you turn the final page.
