Love reading and getting lost within the story. Will read nearly everything! Would like to meet up over a adult grape juice, away from the daily chores and discuss the next best read.

Dan (Redruth)

Hi! I'm Dan, 38, in the Camborne area. Literature sucked me in as a child and has never let me go. These days I mostly read genre fiction, particularly fantasy and sci-fi, interspersed with some crime, historical fiction and thrillers. I'm interested in meeting people with similar tastes to discuss our favourite reads.

Dan recommends:

The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss
The Name of the Wind
by Patrick Rothfuss | Buy this book
As much as I love it, I'll concede that much fantasy writing is plot-driven and prosaic. Rothfuss is different. His language is poetic, at times like a mental caress, sometimes sweeping and epic, full of clever wordplay. The book has flaws (not least that it begins a trilogy that may never be completed), but whenever I read it I'm reminded why I love the genre.

Jan (Redruth)

Usually an avid reader but struggling to make time to read as much as I would like to at the moment. I enjoy quite a wide range of books but not sci fi or fantasy. Redruth is hosting a Book Feast in April over a weekend with some great authors talking about their books. Email me if you would like to know more or visit our Facebook page Redruth Book Feast, or our website redruthbookfeast.co.uk. It’s a great way to meet like minded people who love books and reading.

Kath (Redruth)

I used to be a big reader, constantly having a couple on the go at all times and am wanting to get back into it again after a tough couple of years where I lost motivation. I'm big on fantasy but I'll try any genre, I like to reread certain faves each year but always on the look out for a new favourite book
