Hi, I am interested in joining a friendly book club. I have not been in a book club before, so not really sure what I might get from or bring to it. I like contemporary books. Mixed genres , authors I read include, Margaret Atwood, Simon Kernick, Sue Townsend, Richard Osmond, Tom Holt, Clare Mackintosh and I have just been rereading some Daphne Du Maurier...So a mix of quirky, psycological, thrillers sci-fi and funny.

For escapism, I like the kind of stuff they talk about on Sara Cox's Between The Covers. For mind-expansion, I also like non-fiction books on pre-history, history, science, women's health, feminism, psychology, art history & poetry. I'm open to having a go at starting a book club with others too. Penryn is ideal, could do Falmouth.
