Baldur (Carlisle)
I am in my seventies living in the countryside with my wife, my children and grandchildren now living separately. I have had to read extensively on economics, business practice and current affairs for my business and professional career but now, having only one small business left, I am turning more to fiction and poetry. However, for all that I enjoy reading the classics and well-established authors, I feel I am somewhat “stuck“ and need to voyage wider. Also, I miss the substantial benefit of a range reviews on what I have read and having my own challenged. (There’s an obvious typo in the name of the author of my recommended book, “Vasily” of course, not “Basils”! The app made impossible to edit.

Ambleside Book Club (Ambleside)
We both love reading various genres and are hoping to find some liked minded people who would be interested in starting a book club with us. We were thinking of meeting once a month in a cafe/pub where we can talk about the book we chose to read, to choose the next months book, and to talk about anything else. If you love the idea we’d be happy to hear from you!
