Meryl (Eastbourne)
28 and recently moved to Eastbourne. I'm currently loving getting back into reading, and thought a book club would be a great way to meet some new people. I like reading a mix of books, usually modern fiction or something on the Booker list, but also like crime, and fantasy. I'm not great at sticking with non-fiction, but would happily give it a try! Ideally would like to set up a monthly book group for people in their 20s and 30s in Eastbourne :)

31 from Eastbourne. Love love love reading I always have done . I read every minute I can which is less these days because I have an autistic non verbal child. So getting out the house to go and read will be an absolute dream. I read just about anything. I'm a huge mood reader with a very long TBR. Historical fiction I can't get In to buy other that that were away haha. 💪🏼

Hello I’m a 37yo F from Eastbourne. I really like reading a wide genre of books, particularly thrillers, crime, romance. I read everyday, and I’m looking for the social element of joining a book club and discussing reads together - also being pushed to read novels I wouldn’t normally!

Chloe (Hailsham)
Hi, I’m a 30 year old and love a wide range of books, anything from easy reading thrillers to philosophical reads. Recently getting a kindle has helped me start reading again and I have a goal to read 50 books this year, but I keep getting and starting new books before I finish an old one! I’ve recently started dipping my toes into the genres of fantasy and horror and I’m currently reading game of thrones (though keep taking breaks to read some trusty Frieda McFadden, John Marrs or another book that catches my eye!) I'm always on the lookout for new book recommendations and friendly chats :)

Im a 33 year old who has just got back into reading books. I love reading but found over the last few years I haven’t had the time to read unless I was on holiday. Now I’m making more time I would love to meet people with the same interests and discuss books. I like psychological thrillers and some authors I like are Alice Feeney, Susan Lewis, Lisa Jewell and Freida McFadden books. I’m looking for a book club ideally around Hailsham/Herstmonceux.

Becca (Bexhill-on-Sea)
I enjoy most genres, and I haven't found one yet that I particularly dont enjoy. I read a lot when I was younger and lost the desire as a young adult to read after leaving college and life getting busy. But recently I've re-ignited my enjoyment for reading, and love to talk about books I've read/am enjoying/want to read. However unfortunately my partner doesn't!

I’m 48, female, and self employed so have flexible times to enjoy books and storytelling. I particularly enjoy fantasy with a smattering of romance and spirituality, and a bit of magic :) Humour and cleverly put together narrative are especially enjoyable to me :) Looking to connect with like minds - lots of my reading is done in parks and on the beach and I’d love to meet with others either outdoors, or in libraries, cafes, etc to read the same or different things. Would love to hear from you.

Tina (Eastbourne)
I am in my 50s and have just started a full time admin role, but it is mainly working from home so I have most evenings free (Netflix can be addictive but I want to keep my brain active). I avidly listen to audio books but would like to get back to reading the old fashioned way! I like popular fiction, self help, biographies or anything thought-provoking and discussion-worthy.
