Alice (Ipswich)

Hi my name's Alice and I'm getting back into books after having just finished college. It'd be great to meet some new people who enjoy reading and yapping about books, like I do! I'm open to any genre, but I'm especially into mystery novels, the classics and queer lit. Currently reading too many books to count but, I'm loving 'Madame Bovary'.

annaleonore (Ipswich)

I am F26 and just moved to Ipswich. I'd love to meet some new people to hang out with and have a chat. I have always enjoyed reading and especially like historical (non)fiction, romance, and contemporary YA. But I am also open to discover new gems.

Piranesi by Susanna Clarke
Piranesi

I like this book because It really is one of a kind. Basically this guy called Piranesi lives in a house with infinitive corridors. His mission is to catalogue all the different rooms and the things that happen in them. It starts out quite mysterious and has takes really interesting and unexpected turns along the way. It is beautifully written, leans heavily into philosophy and really makes you think. Unfortunately saying much more about the story would spoil that for you - I would recommend to pick up that book knowing as little as possible.

Everything. I adore everything about this book. It’s about love, power and all things in between. It’s about Francis bacon and his quest for power, using and abusing in the name of love.

Holly (Stowmarket)

I am a primary school teacher, based in Stowmarket and working in a village near Newmarket. I work in school Wednesday - Friday and would would love to join a book club on either Monday or Tuesday. I adore reading and would love to be able to talk to other readers about our thoughts on what we've read. My husband isn't a big reader, so it would be lovely to have some other readers to chat to!

I love reading. And I enjoy being with people. So a book club combines both. Karen Slaughter. Donna Leon. Patricia Cornwell. Michael Dibden. Crime solving fiction. But also an ecliptic mix. John Boyne. Raynor Winn.
