Im 22, looking to find a regular group discuss literature a couple times a month. Primarily into complex fantasy and historical fiction but will read/listen to anything if its well written. Other interested include TTRPGS, history, hiking, cooking, woodwork, old CRPGs and RPG design. Recant reads include The Lightbringer series, How to Lose a Time War and The Count of Monte Cristo. I listen to audiobooks more than read since its what i listen to at work.

Would love to meet people locally who adore books and reading. I gravitate to non-fiction but also want to get out of my comfort zone! I'd also love to extend my social circle, which has reduced since working mainly from home.

I bought this book after stumbling upon a clip of a TV documentary that was shown a few years ago. The author was in charge of the Catholic monastery that had allowed a small group of people to experience life there and he seemed so calm, reassuring and wise. I wasn't at all sure what to expect with this book but it was such a gentle and also practical little read. Not at all what people might expect! I ended up buying his other books, which were also great. You absolutely don't need to be religious in the conventional sense to benefit from it. It's more about finding sanctuary in this tricky modern world. I'm not at all a fan of 'self help' books, and I wouldn't class this as one of those.

I’m an avid reader of a wide range of fiction and literature. I love to read and be recommended books outside of my go-to genres. My most recent top read is Barbara Kingsolver Demon Copperhead. I enjoy chatting characters, plots, and perspectives over a cuppa or glass. I’ve was a book club member in my last home in Gloucestershire and I since moving to Devon this summer I am now looking to join like-minded folk to talk books around Ashburton and Bovey Tracey.
