Hi Everyone, I’ve recently moved to the area and am looking to join a book club in or around Honiton with ladies of a similar vintage (in my 50s!). My ideal group reads a genuine mix of genres—from contemporary fiction and good thrillers to memoirs and literary picks, where the chat flows just as easily as the discussion about the book, ideally over a cuppa or a glass of wine. Looking for lovely people who love life, enjoy good company, and don't take things too seriously. I love books! Thrillers, romance and SciFi in particular. Looking to move to Tavistock soon and would like to make some new friends in preparation for this. I frequently caravan in the area so plenty of opportunities to meet up before I move!

My favourite novels are David Copperfield, Tess of the D'urbevilles, Wuthering Heights. Favourite writers are William Boyd, Evelyn Waugh, George Orwell and many others. Happy to try any recommendations.

I like reading what I like reading! If I pick something up and it is interesting, I'll read it. No horror, though. Can't be doing with that. I non-fiction and classic fiction, I suppose.
