I’m a keen reader who loves books with rich characters and deep storytelling. I’m particularly drawn to authors like Barbara Kingsolver, Anne Tyler, and Bonnie Garmus, who create unforgettable narratives and explore human emotions in such a unique way. I also recently loved The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue, which was a great mix of historical fiction and fantasy. I 'd like to join a book-club as I’m keen to meet new friends who share my love of reading and enjoy engaging in thoughtful book discussions. I can’t wait to dive into different genres, explore new perspectives, and share recommendations with fellow book lovers!

I enjoy any quality read, some favourite authors are Margaret Attwood, William Boyd, Barbara Kingsolver, Lionel Shriver, Anne Tyler, Nick Harkaway, Michel Faber. Open to new suggestions (but not fantasy, romance or crime).

A monthly (? as agreed) meet to read ambitious and adventurous books new and old - collectively selected from award winners like the Man Booker list. Casual meet on the Waterfont for a drink and a chat. (No schlock/fantasy/YA/Romance)

Would be interested in Booker prizewinner type books - reading discussion say monthly in a cosy pub such as the waterfront on the Hoe. I like Ishiguro best but opening a book should be like opening a door into another world - open to pretty much all genres (except schlocky YA/Romance/fantasy)
