So i could talk about this book for days, im not really interested in Greek mythology but i feel like the way the author wrote these character making literal Greek gods feel relatable was really interesting to me. I think the fact that the author made me feel emotions like anger and happiness while reading the book , is something that always makes me want to come back and re read this book.

It felt like a childish book, in a good way. I read it during summer and while reading it i felt warm. The romance between the main characters is a HEAVY slow burn and in the end its really worth it. Its the type of boo that had me giggling and screaming ( just a little bit )

Tiffany

Hey! I'm busy Mom with a full time job, working from home. I've ALWAYS loved reading, but as adult life progressed I've struggled to have time to read. Im back into it and generally know if a book will hold my attention within the first chapter. I used to read a lot of real life stories (war time, Auschwitz etc) and children who had a difficult start to life. I have however found that my genre is now leaning more towards romance. I've recently read Paige Toon 'what if I never get over you' and completed it in approx 3 evenings. I've since ordered 5 more of her books and am currently reading 'seven summers'. I'd really like to meet some people who love to read too and am open to any suggestions, happy for a face to face book group too.

Completely gripping book based on a true story, that makes you realise just how horrific this time was.

Starts off at a casual pace but picks up towards the middle to right till the end which I liked allowing me to get into the book. I loved the mix of mystery, horror and comedy and there were some dark, violent parts which surprised me for a YALit book.

Katie

I have recently re-discovered reading and have always loved the idea of a book club but never found anyone who'll commit with me! I love historical fiction (A Year of Marvellous Ways); dystopian fiction (The Hamdmsid's Tale); horror (Imaginary Friend); thrillers (can't think of an example!), and am open to other genres too! I'm looking for a proper book club (last one I tried just became a space for gossip and talk of TV series, lol), but also nothing that takes itself too seriously xxx

Reacher13

Deep diving into two series at the minute, the excellent Kim Stone series by Angela Marsons is based in the Black Country and ideally I want to chat nonsense about the book, read at the same pace as someone and talk about it as if it was something on TV etc Someone that gets far too deeply engrossed in every book I read, but do you know something? I wouldn't change it for the world. People have their consoles, TV shows, movies etc. I have books in the same manner; thats not to cast those other hobbies aside, it's just that I'd sooner take a book every day of the week and twice on Sundays. There's nothing better than switching off from the world and spending hours finding out what's going on. Looking to connect with others who are interested in the thriller/crime genre

Latest one I've read in the Kim Stone series and the reintroduction of Dr Thorne makes it all the more better, definitely one to check out (start from the beginning of the series though)
