Nisha (Birmingham)

I'm 21. I love reading but have lost the motivation to finish a book. I read psychological thrillers, horror and dark romance but I'll read anything honestly. I love collecting books for my future home library and I have banned myself from buying new books until I've read all the ones I've already got.

CatoCally (Walsall)

Hi everyone! I am a huge bookworm and I’m about to embark on year 2 of an English Lit degree at age 33! I’d love to set up a book club where we can all share our love of reading and push outside of our comfort zone and explore different genres. )My personal faves are horror, lit fic and thrillers). I’d also love to connect with like minded people and make some new friends because let’s face it, it’s hard as a grown up. I’m local to Walsall/Wolverhampton area so drop me a message and we can go from there ☺️

Cee T (Kingswinford)

I'm hoping to connect with people who enjoy reading. I read a range of genre including chick lit, historical fiction, period drama, women's fiction, post war sagas, novels etc not horror, sci fi or fantasy. A book retreat would be great...

Abbygetsreading (Tipton)

I really want to get back into reading and feel a book club would really help with the motivation! I love fantasy and Greek mythology based but I'm really not opposed to trying any kind of genre!

Jamie (Birmingham)

I'm a student that recently started getting back into reading over that past year or so. I mostly enjoy reading classics and philosophical fiction (Hesse, Dostoyevsky, Sartre). Lately I've been trying to branch out more with Jane Eyre, Nineteen Eighty-Four and some others. I'd really like to meet other people to talk to about books and philosphy, and maybe even get some recommendations.

Jamie recommends:

Demian by Hermann Hesse
Demian
by Hermann Hesse | Buy this book
Demian is an incredibly reflective and inspiring book. There is a good deal of philosophy regarding the world and people, but the real treasure is its numerous introspective moments and narratives that, for me, sets it apart from other philosophical works I've read. Demian is less the story of a boy trying to understand the world, and more of a boy trying to understand himself.
