Hello, I am a mum of 2 teenage boys who is now finding more time to read as they are getting older. I like to read mostly fiction. I like mystery/ crime reads. I would love to meet people who can inspire me to read more.

I'd like to join a book group as a way to make me a more committed reader. I love reading and getting lost in a story and like to explore characters, their lives and behaviours, in my head. I sometimes feel it would be more fun, enlightening and engaging for me if I were to experience that amongst likeminded people.

I’m 41 years old married mother of 2, I have always enjoyed reading but haven’t been reading recently and would like to get back into reading and to join a reading club as part of this. I want to try something new, also meet new people, maybe make new friends and expand my horizons. Hope to hear from you

I've lived in the area a while now, and as work has slowed down I thought a book club would be nice.

I love fiction - crime, historical novels etc. I often love books I have picked up from a book swop but wouldn’t otherwise have chosen. Being part of a book club would widen my horizons.

Hi, I'd like to join a small, friendly book club where I can discover new book recommendations and meet like-minded people. My favourite genres are thriller, romance and mystery, but I'd like to explore more genres.

I mainly read - fiction - sci-fi/fantasy. Discworld, GoT, Robin Hobb, I prefer books written in the first person but read plenty that arent. Non-fiction I enjoy philosophy - stoicism and have also dipped my toe into some Zen budhism/meditation. I have an open mind though so am happy to take suggestions, I don’t have many friends that read - everyone seems to prefer watching Neflix etc - and feel I am missing out on having discussions and broadening my reading experience. Meeting with like minded people will help me do that.
