This book is so generous in the way Negar talks to us and tells us about so many complexities of community, culture, history and politics in Iran, the terror that is created by borders, and the life long impact of migration. At the same time, as someone with a different life experience, there is so much to relate to. I loved that people and Kimia's relationship to the world move around and definitely exist beyond the binary. A gem of a book.
