I am new to reading. It is not that I have nerver read a book! But never was a passion until recently, when I moved to England (Weston-super-mare) and I found myself reading more. I am discovering nice fiction, non-fiction, biographies, philosophy, etc. books. The only books I have not tried, and I think I may not enjoy are fantasy books, but please do not judge for that. I know many people love those type of books and movies, but is not something I enjoy. I am interested in finding a book club, where we can meet to discuss about a specific book, make friends, enjoy some tea and a nice chat.

I’ve read this book 3 times now and it gets better each time I swear. I love Greek mythology retellings and this is by far my favourite.

I love reading and would like to extend my friendship group so a book club seems a good place to start. I like the classics, but also lots of modern stuff too. I’m not usually into non- fiction but have tried a few biographies and am happy to branch out a bit.

This was book about a “distressed gentlewoman” who writes a book for money and is then taken aback by the results was written in the 1930’s. The author is an astute observer of people and manners with a very light touch. It is very funny and I love the period detail as well as the humour.

Hi! I’ve just moved back to the West Country after 25 years away and I’m looking to make some new friends with shared interests. I tend to read non-fiction but I’m happy to read fiction, too - I’ll give most things a go. I’m a young-minded 51 year old who is very sociable but also respects boundaries.
