Hello, I’m thinking about joining a book group as would like to discover new authors and read books I would not usually consider reading. I would enjoy connecting with people who share my interest in reading. I believe a reading group has many benefits as discussing books will help to keep my brain engaged, which may have cognitive benefits! I would enjoy contributing and listening to the viewpoints of others.

Charity worker, mother of 2, ex-teacher, loves travelling but doesn't get enough opportunity to do so any more! Busy trying to stay on top of taking care of myself and family. Reading is a great pleasure and I enjoy sharing ideas on books read with like-minded people. I moved to Hampshire from Bristol where I was a member of a lively book group and I'd like to find something similar locally. I enjoy historical and dystopian fiction, character-led novels, biographies and a range of nonfiction.

The Winchester Wine and Book Club is a book club based in Winchester, UK. We are a small(ish) informal and friendly group of people from different professions and of varying ages.
