Gina (Portsmouth)
Hi I'm Gina, I'm 37 years old and I love to read true story books, I love books about historical tragedy n things similar, ie. Titanic stories or pearl harbour or ww2. (I know it's weird), and I'd love to meet new friends and meet up in coffee shops to possibly go over.

Ali (Andover)
I moved to Andover a few years ago and would really like to make some friends with similar interests. I’m 26. I am an avid reader - whether it’s physical or auditory. I love books that make you think, analyse, and delve deeper. I’m not strict on a genre - I love the classics, dystopian, fantasy, science fiction, political fiction, gothic literature. I’m looking to join a book club to discuss books, have bubbles, drink wine, and most importantly make friends and join a community!

Sean (Southampton)
The idea: a small, easygoing group meeting once a month in a cosy café around Southampton (open to New Forest spots too, depending who's keen) to talk about the kind of books that actually earn their length — Dostoevsky, Tolstoy, John Williams' Stoner, Jack London's Martin Eden. Big questions, flawed characters, sentences worth re-reading. Doesn't have to stay strictly Russian-and-American — anything in that same vein is fair game. No pressure if you haven't finished the book. No one-upmanship. Just good coffee, better conversation, and people who actually want to talk about what they're reading rather than just being seen to read it. If that sounds like your kind of Saturday morning (or Tuesday evening — happy to find what works for the group), get in touch. Even just tell me the last book that properly wrecked you — that's usually the best icebreaker.

I am a University History Graduate. I love history books, especially British and American. I am looking to join like-minded book people who love reading books. I like both non-fiction and fiction. I also really like movies that that develop from fiction and non-fiction books.

Rachel (Portsmouth)
I'm a 28 year old woman who loves crime, romance and thrillers, but I am always up for trying new genres and authors. My favourite author is Steve Cavanagh. His book "Devil's Advocate" is my go-to recommendation when anyone asks. His work is so well researched and he always keeps me guessing. I went to a talk by him last year and was so interested to hear about his writing process. I also love Taylor Jenkins Reid - Malibu Rising is her best novel in my opinion, followed by the Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo.
